Hi, I’m Kelsey!
I’m so glad you’ve found my website. I believe the most important part of therapy is finding a good fit. Research shows your chances of feeling better are tied to your relationship with your therapist. I aim to connect with my clients using active listening and paying close attention to nonverbal gestures. I believe it’s important to establish trust with my clients, so they feel safe and comfortable in our therapeutic relationship.
From a young age, I’ve had a passion for helping others. I’m naturally curious and love to learn about people. I attended California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo where I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology. A few years later, I pursued my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. Beyond graduate studies, I have additional training in the Gottman Method (1 &2) for couples therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also have acquired a certificate in Complex Trauma. Presently, I am pursuing a certificate in Sex Therapy through the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor School of Social Work.
I have experience working with clients ages 3 to 90 years old in a variety of settings such as schools, a grief and loss center and tribal social services. I provide individual and couples therapy to support those struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief/loss, life stress, and trauma. My clients and I work together to discover what you need to make the changes you wish to see for your life.
Outside of my professional life I love to explore nature with my husband and dog. I enjoy spending time with friends camping, skiing, and traveling.
