Grief & Loss

Although change may be inevitable, sometimes it can be especially challenging. When it involves grief or loss, change can be particularly difficult. Grief can make you feel like your world has been turned upside down. You may experience feeling stuck, isolated, or lost. 

If you are struggling with a life transition, we can discuss how this change may impact your identity. Together, we will create space to acknowledge and express your feelings, reframe negative thoughts, and develop coping skills to help you through this difficult time and build lasting skills for the future

Relationships

Are you looking for premarital counseling? Need help having challenging conversations with a partner, family or a friend? Relationships aren’t always easy but they are valuable, and I can help.

Sometimes we need a hand processing our thoughts and feelings, realizing and finding patterns, and practicing changing how we interact with one another. Using evidence-based interventions, I work with you to develop the skills to intimately connect with your partner. We will foster positive interactions and create an emotionally supportive connection.  

Friendships and family dynamics can also become complicated. I can help facilitate tough conversations, support you, and guide you.

Trauma

For those who have experienced any form of trauma; you may feel that it deeply shapes your lived experiences. How trauma impacts us is influenced by society, our upbringing, and our past experiences. At times, it may take a toll on our mental and physical health.

I work with clients who have experienced varying degrees (and types) of trauma to provide specific interventions tailored to their needs. I facilitate education on the mind-body connection, and how trauma sits with us as memories in our body. There doesn’t need to be a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. Experience has shown me that some clients will benefit from talk therapy, while others may be better suited for EMDR, or perhaps a combination.

 

Individual & Couples Therapy

I provide individual and couples therapy to support those struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief/loss, stress, and trauma. 

Teletherapy

My therapy services are available to clients online through a secure HIPAA-compliant video conferencing program.

The development of this technology allows you to be seen from anywhere in Alaska while sitting in the comfort and privacy of your own space (at home or on the go).  

Research shows teletherapy is just as effective as in-person therapy.

Anxiety & Depression
